Comfortable cottage, Bidwell, very clean everything you needed was provided for a happy stay. Young gentlemen were very happy with entertainment, football, swimming pool and farm animals. very quiet and the vans that called on some evenings provided very good pizzas and fish and chips
This was our second visit to Compton Pool Farm. We stayed in Bidwell cottage a really comfortable 6 berth cottage with all the high end facilities like quality furniture and soft furnishings. Every detail has been considered it really is a home from home. John and Ann make you feel welcome but then give you privacy to enjoy the farm and its ammenities like the lovely indoor pool the farm animals and tennis courts and beautiful grounds. The lovely afternoon tea complete with a huge Victoria sponge was laid out on the kitchen table for us when we arrived, a really lovely touch. A chilled relaxing weekend in beautiful surroundings
Our family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 four year old twin girls - have just returned from a well deserved week holiday at Bidwell Cottage, Compton Pool Farm. From the moment we arrived, we knew we would have a happy stay. We were warmly greeted by the owners Ann and John, the farm manager, Will...and not forgetting Gilbert the dog! The grounds were immaculate as was the cottage...very light and airy, yet cosy and spacious, and very well equipped. No complaints. The beds were just sooo comfy too...we all slept like babies for the week! With a tennis court, games room, go karts, fishing lake, playground with swings, slides, climbing frames, a trampoline and a giant chess set...there was plenty to do on site at the farm...not forgetting the animals which the children could help feed every morning and visit at any time during the day. The beauty of the cottage was that the patio area (with BBQ) went straight onto the hill which led up to the animals and playground...meaning the children could play happily and safely close to the cottage whilst making new friends. The swimming pool had to be the biggest hit though...we were in it every day without fail..SPLASH!! The cottages, whilst being very close to some beautiful beaches and family tourist attractions....were so peaceful...we didn't want to leave. Thanks to Ann, John and Will....we will be back
