This was our first time staying at Compton Pool and our first holiday with our daughter and grandson and it did not disappoint. We stayed in Torr and the lodge was well equipped and very clean and the facilities were excellent. Our grandson loved feeding the animals and the swimming pool was an extra bonus. The hosts Debbie and Paul were very welcoming and helpful and we are already planning our next visit
I spent the weekend at Compton Pool Farm just before Easter and had a wonderful time. We stayed in Torr and the cottage was absolutely what our group of 3 couples required: roomy, clean, charmingly decorated and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the luxurious bedding and towels. It's those little comfy touches that really make you feel like you're on holiday. The staff were very sweet and accommodating. They even left us chocolate muffins for breakfast in the morning! The cottage was perfect for us tired young London professional in need of a relaxing break in the country. But I can really imagine that Compton Pool Farm is an ideal location for families. We certainly enjoyed looking at all the animals (we saw really cute goats, chickens and a pig).
I would love to go back in the summer so we can take advantages of the awesome facilities like the pool. And I'm definitely recommending this place to all my friends with kids.
We have stayed at Compton Pool farm a number of times now and have never been disappointed! We had never stayed in Torr before and will definitely be staying in it again as we booked it straight away for another half term! Space was definitely not an issue, the cottage says it accommodates 6 yet we have 7 to stay for a full roast dinner and had plenty of space round the dinner table and kitchen! The facilities are amazing and are always clean and ready to use, the swimming pool was great for our 8 year old who thoroughly enjoyed using all the sporting equipment. The owners John and Ann are lovely and are always on hand to help if you have any queries! We can't wait to come back for Christmas in a couple of weeks! Thank you again
We stayed for a week mid July in Torr, the log cabin! It was really well fitted with an open plan living/dining/kitchen and three bedrooms. Everything is really well appointed, comfortable, modern, clean and crisp. The facilities on site are great, loads of outdoor play equipment for the kids and lots of room for them to run around. There is a lovely heated pool, tennis courts and the cottages all have a private garden with outdoor furniture and BBQ. The owners were away when we stayed but Richard who looked after things was really helpful when we needed advice or assistance. I only have a couple of small niggles - one is the laundry facilities which were great when you could find a machine or dryer not in use and secondly the wi-fi was a bit hit and miss which was a bit of a pain when I did need to access the internet.
Overall the accomodation, facilities, location and set-up is excellent and I would definitely book again. It is also really well located with the feel that it is 'in the middle of nowhere' but only a short drive from everything you need to have loads of days out, beaches, farms, towns, zoo etc... Having said that stick around the site for a quiet relaxing day. We had a great week, relaxing, sunny, comfortable and the kids loved it. Oh and Sainsburys deliver there too - just to make things even easier for you!
