Enjoy England Gold
We are delighted that, once again, we have been awarded the highest accolade possible in self-catering. This year, for the first time, Visit England and Quality in Tourism, the tourist industry's quality arm, has created Gold status for self catering properties reaching particularly high standards. Only 7% of inspected properties in the UK have reached this level. This award, achieved for all 11 of our cottages, puts us right at the top of British self-catering, a place we're determined to stay!
Visit Devon Tourism Awards 2013 Gold
A short while ago in November, Compton Pool Farm won Gold in the Sustainable Tourism Award category. We are extremely proud to have won this award, it is at the forefront of our trophy cabinet which now totals 8 regional and 3 national awards! Reaching Carbon-neutrality took us year of immense investment and months of backbreaking work in the worst possible weather. The installation of the Bio-mass boiler and the Solar Panels are a fantastic addition to Compton Pool’s green ethos.
Vist England Gold Award for best self-catering in England
What the customers having been saying for years is finally official – the family-run holiday cottage business has been crowned the best self-catering holiday provider in England. The Gold Award is the highest Award for Excellence in Tourism in England which VisitEngland can bestow. Compton Pool Farm was presented with their Gold Award at a glittering Awards Ceremony which was held on 22 May 2012 at Athena, an art deco gem located in the heart of Leicester’s cultural quarter.
